Flashing the ESP introduces artifacts on the led strip which can be annoying.
Clearing the strip on startup fixes this.

I urge you to reconsider. This is very annoying indeed when developing for your platform. In a dark environment the bight light hurts the developers eyes, which seriously impacts the development efficiency.
